Portuguese sailors António Fontes, Bernardo Freitas and Frederico Melo have been honoured by Portuguese President Rebelo de Sousa after they took part in the world’s longest and toughest sailing event, the Volvo Ocean Race.

At a ceremony held at Lisbon’s Museu da Marinha, and sponsored by the Mirpuri Foundation, The President of the Republic led tributes to the three portuguese sailors who raced 45,000 miles around the globe, crossing four oceans while touching six continents.
