Paulo Mirpuri, owner of the Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team, participated in the “Regata de la Amistad”, sponsored by Clube Naval de Cascais, that took place in Sanxenxo, Spain this weekend.
Competing in the strong and fiercely fought 6m class, Paulo skippered the Mirpuri Foundation branded boat to 2nd place overall.
Paulo Mirpuri commented “The sailing conditions were exceptional and I think it was a decent result considering it was our second race in this class and the other teams were pretty strong and experienced.
The crew included Paulo Mirpuri as skipper, Volvo Ocean Race sailors Frederico Melo and Bernardo Freitas, Olympic medalist Hugo Rocha and Lino Perez.
